This new anticorporate activism looks like people that are actually caring about what is going on in other countries and how corporations are affecting them in a negative way. People are now making a stand to this corporations by action. As seen by Nike schools have been turning down to sponsor Nike because of the outragously low pay that people get in Vietnam. The whole idea with shell was brought upon by a single man who spoke out about the Nigerian Military. Also with Nike and Mcdonalds it was because of the internet that people released information about the corporations which can be out within a few hours. People's reconstruction is the efforts that people are trying to do to get their economy back in place. It has not been common in the U.S because of all the regulations we have against corporations. There is really nothing fair about Mobiot's suggestion but i feel that he has the right mindset in trying to help the poor but i do feel like that the rich has worked hard to get where they are at so it would be unfair to them. Then again we must consider that the poor cannot be taxed the same as the rich.

Battle in Seattle
The Film Battle in Seattle shows us that the potential for speaking back to power can affect the situation greatly. The potential is there it's whether how well the performance is to actually make a difference but it is there. I feel like at the start of the protest it was very successful. The protesters did manage to get the conference canceled in a non violent way. Although it was successfull for that day but it did not stop it from ever happening again. At the end though was not successfull when some of the protesters decided to use violent or criminal acts. It just made the situation worse. The Lower class or middle class is usually victimized by the WTO. They are described as low income people that are not able to make a sustainable lifestyle. At first the the government did not want to make a scene or take any action against the protesters. Then some protesters decided to take it a little furthur which led into a breakout and chaos. Police were then ordered to arrest and use tear gas to stop the riot. The government officials and the police officers were not evenhanded. The police had to do on what they were told.

The tactics that are needed to implement Chicago School ideas in Chile is a not very well run country with a bad economy. Also I believe that you need people that are actually willing to try new ideas to better their economy. I feel that it says that the people are willing to try anything at the moment since nothing is going right. They are expecting improvement right away but do not realize it will take time and that there is a possibility of the ideas of the new economy to fail. To me corporate culture appears as a monster tearing up a culture that was fine and would have done better without the new one. It appears that even how good a new corporate culture sounds does not mean it will always turn out the way you want it to. People need to actually think and find out what is actually happening so they are informed at least. In this case many people lost their jobs. They did not think that this was going to happen but it did. The emphasis on branding results in worsening the labor conditions because the contractors that are bought from a company, their management is military style. This usually consists of supervisors being abusive, and wages are extremely low. This was compared to a fast-food franchise but obviously the conditions were much worse.

The kind of corporate culture that is depicted from "Inside Job" is that it is all about the money and how the money was unevenly distributed. Also it potrayed the corporate culture as decieving and not ethical at all. For example, the family who could not speak any English to me seemed like they were tricked into buying that house without even really knowing what their payments would be. This is how the corporate culture contributed to the financial collapse. At that time they let anyone get a mortgage knowing many of them couldn't pay it off. This kind of culture can be considered in the ideas of Friedman by his theory of monetarism. It was basically saying that all the policy makers made bad decisions that let a lot of money enter the economy when they should have just let it be and let it balance itself out. Those ideas play out in Great Britian is how the government is trying to tax people so they can use the bridge to make money, when what they should be doing is letting it go and having it settle on its own.

Corporations and Branding
There are many people that don't stop and think about corporations and branding. They are so used to them that they think nothing of them. All around them are corporations and brand names, but do they really know what is behind all of that. All of the secrets and lies that they are capable of such as their products can cause harm to humans. Corporations and branding can relate to each other in many ways. These two concepts are related by each one of them needs or counts on each other for the other ones success. I believe that without corporations there will be no products that will actually be made so there would be nothing to brand. Without branding, corporations wouldn't be as successful as if they had branding. For example, Nike portrays its shoes to be the best shoes if you are an athlete so consumers are more likely to buy the shoes with the best quality and best name which at the end helps the corporation. I think branding helps give corporation its identity by basically showing what the product there making is all about. It helps give consumers an idea of what their all about and what they are trying to convey about their corporation. People think of Nike as a popular corporation that is big and seem pretty confident about their products. Also in "New Branded World" Klein portrays branding to different cultures such as fraternity house or to a religious cults. Klein's understanding of the corporations that rely heavily on branding fits with the psychiatric diagnosis offered in The Corporation is that corporations are trying to get inside the consumers head and gain new ideas so that they will buy their product. As long as it has a brand name corporations only care of making money and don't take the consumers safety into considerations.
